Welcome

Welcome to Oteha Valley School.

Our school is a relatively new state primary school in Albany on Auckland's North Shore, catering for children in Years 1 - 6 (5-11yrs).  It opened on 27 January 2004, with 16 children and 8 teachers, at North Harbour Stadium because none of the buildings on the school site was ready to occupy.  We moved to the current site 4 weeks later, with 18 children!  Since those small beginnings 6 years ago, the roll has increased to almost 350 children, the staff has increased to 35, and there are now 20 permanent classrooms and 2 relocatable rooms on site.

The school has an Enrolment Scheme in place.  Every child who lives within the school's Home Zone has an automatic entitlement to attend.  Out-of-zone places are available only for siblings of current and past students (including those children in our two satellite classes) and children of staff members.

We are very proud of our children's successes and we love to celebrate them.

If you are thinking about enrolling your child at our school please contact the school office and arrange a time to come and see our "classes in action" during the school day.  Visiting the rooms and seeing our children engaged in their learning activities is your very best gauge for knowing whether Oteha Valley School will suit your child's learning needs.  We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
