Hi there fellow gardeners

I am looking forward to the first ever annual sunflower competition tomorrow.

Mr Holmes is busy putting seeds into cups already for you to add your seed raising mix.

This will hopefully make it a little easier on everyone as I have given out nearly 200 little notices!

Tomorrow you will be given your seeds, some garden mix, a spoon to use as both a label and to help you water your litlle seed.  Once your seed has started to sprout, you will need to re-pot it into a bigger pot with some potting mix.  Don't forget to water and feed your sunflower!

You will also be given a sheet with the rules of the competition.  You will have all summer to nuture your little sunflower to hopefully gigantic proportions.  Next year we will ask you to bring your sunflower back to school for the first annual great sunflower measure! (Tuesday Feb 14 - Valentines day)

So ...  see you all after lunch eating tomorrow outside Room 14 on the grass!

I can't wait - it will be so much fun!
