We're going to the Stars and Back!

It's Term 3 and Room 12 is learning about Space!
This term we'll be exploring space and finding out all about the sun, the moon, the 8 planets and lots more.
We went to visit the Stardome with the Junior Syndicate. We learnt so many cool things!
 
Here are some things we remembered from our trip: 
"We watched a movie. In the movie there were twin stars who were different colours. Sapphire was blue and really hot. Goldie was gold and yellow and colder than Sapphire but still warm."

We also found out that Pluto is a dwarf planet and is freezing cold because it is the furthest from the sun. Venus is the hottest planet because it has a blanket of clouds covering the surface that trap the warm sun’s heat. Earth is the only planet that has life on it so it is special.
